Foreign journalist arrested for allegedly practicing journalism without accreditation


A British journalist Phillip Warington Taylor was on 30 of October 2008 arrested by members of the Central Intelligence Organisation (CIO) at Harare International Airport on allegations of practicing journalism in Zimbabwe without accreditation.

ZMC entangled in financial and logistical problems
The Zimbabwe Media Commission (ZMC) last week allegedly postponed to end of May a crucial workshop to expedite the licensing of new newspapers owing to financial problems and reports on allegations of disagreements among commissioners on resource persons to the workshop. The workshop was scheduled to begin on 13 May 2010.
